Playful banter

Sometimes I think a little faster than I'm speaking and the words jumble a bit, which Dennis is quick to make fun of... My response is generally something to the affect of "I don't care, I'm pretty." However, he also took it upon himself to share this with one of my employees and now when I attempt to correct her she replies "It's ok because I'm pretty!"

Me and Paige

To our surprise, Paige has jumped in by herself several times! And P.S. she swims MUCH better than Haley!

Dennis and Haley cooling off

We gave in and bought a pool a few weeks ago (when it was over a hundred degrees everyday). It's been worth every penny! Even the dogs enjoy it!

Adventure in the backyard...

My little sister Samantha, (I'm in the big brother/big sister program), came over to swim. I was trying to figure out how to turn the filter on, so I unscrewed the cap and water began gushing out of the pool. I could not get the cap back on so I went in the house and called Dennis (who was at a friends house) to come home. I went back outside and held the cap on until Dennis got home. Dennis then left. About a half hour later Samantha and I were going to go in the house and make smores before taking her home. To my horror, the door was locked! I was locked in the back yard with an eight foot privacy fence, without a phone, in our bathing suits, with a seven year old! My only option was to climb on top of the trash can and jump over the fence. But as I peered over, I realized it was a long way down! As I was contemplating what to do, my neighbors came outside and the last thing I wanted them to see was me jumping over the fence in my bathing suit so I quickly crouched down while still on the trash can. All of a sudden it hit me! I could use the ladder from the pool! So I waited for them to go back inside, then dragged the ladder from the pool, climbed back up on the trash can and lifted the ladder over the fence. I then preceded to climb over the fence and on to the ladder. I then helped Samantha over. We walked half a mile to my moms (keep in mind we're in our bathing suits and Samantha doesn't even have shoes!). My mom then drove us home and let us back in... Quite the adventure!
